May 2026 at C&C PremiumCars Munich, from the Ferrari 812 Competizione to the Aventador SV, and what forged carbon does differently.
The day after Bugatti we drove across Munich to C&C PremiumCars. Where Bugatti was one car repeated, C&C was the opposite: a Ferrari 812 Competizione, a Lamborghini Aventador SV, and a floor full of cars that had almost nothing in common except how they were built.
The 812 Competizione carries carbon fiber aero blades cut into the hood, laid in sheets so the weave runs in one clean direction. The Aventador SV sits on a full carbon monocoque. Two very different uses of the same raw fiber, and both of them woven.
Lamborghini is also where forged composite came from, which is the family our own material belongs to. Chopped carbon strands, compression molded, no repeating grid. It ends up stiffer per gram in some directions than a woven layup and it looks like nothing else, which is the whole point of a forged carbon fiber phone case. You are not buying a pattern. You are buying a piece that only came out that way once.
We shot most of the day here. Carbon against carbon, on cars where the material is structural rather than decorative.
Thanks to the C&C team for the access again.
